Creativity is doing more than the first thing you thought of. Mediocre ideas become great ones through cycles of iteration, reflection, and return. Winners do not start with better ideas. They take good or even mediocre ideas and make them great over time. Just doing it seldom works. Doing it, thinking, doing it again does.

Summary
Three Facts About Persistence
First: great ideas almost always come after the obvious ones. Day two of a brainstorm typically produces 80% of the big ideas. First-day thinking is warm-up. Second: TRIZ analysis shows that 97% of innovations are recombinations of existing ideas. AI is exceptionally good at recombination, but only if you keep pushing past the first output. Third: do it, think, do it again. Reflection between cycles is what converts iteration into learning.
Smart AI Has Discipline
The difference between AI that helps and AI that spins is discipline. Clear objectives: what does done look like? Structured methodology: what process are we following? Human-AI collaboration: who decides and when? Without these three, more iteration does not mean better output. It means more of the same output with greater time invested.
SPARKS as a System
Each behavior in SPARKS is a habit that keeps you working smart. S-P-A-R-K is five habits that compound. The sixth, S for Stop and Think, comes on Day 10. Together they form the practice. Not a technique you use once. A system you build over time. Innovation is not a sprint of brilliant insights. It is a marathon of thoughtful, purposeful strides.
Key Takeaway
The biggest risk in AI-assisted work is stopping too soon. The first output is the starting point. Track your score from your pre-course assessment versus now. Look at what changed. Name one habit you will keep. Then keep going.
